Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random. Step 2: Post the first line from the first 35 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing. Step 3: Have people guess what songs they are. Step 4: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly. Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is cheating

i was watchin headbangers ball one night, when a video or a song came on (no shit). the caption containing the band name and song name read
band: undefined
song: undefined
album: undefined
this band was a metal trio, the video was the band members playing on a stage resembling dragonforce's video for through the fire and the flames.
now im trying to remember what these people looked like but it was very late at night. the lead singer / gutiarist was very big. the guitar looked like a toy in his hands. he had a mustache like lemmy of motorhead and long hair parted in the middle. the bass player i thought looked like dimebag but im not sure. the drummer had a very simple set, maybe six piece. the song itself was very very good. the main riff was quick moving but not very fast and required a lot of finger work. no guitar during the verses. vocals were melodic no screaming.
if anyone has any information on this band or song please let me know.
the way it all started for me, was wht some may call hair metal. i listened to my parents listen to bands such as poison, def leppard, Van Halen ( tho theyre not hair metal), ozzy (a la shot in the dark and mama im comin home), the scorpions, etc.
but i gave tht up (cept van halen of course), thinkin it was "pussy music". but lately thte majority of songs i listen to consist of dokken, skid row, tesla, ozzy, queensryche, and bands such as these.
i dont listen to poison tho because they suck and brett michaels is a washed up sell out. C.C. is pretty cool tho.
but to those who think the way i used to, listen to the music. you may find as i did tht many of these songs are actually pretty kick ass. the solos are some of the best solos to ever grace my ears. and many of the bands paved the way for many new bands and genres. so yea i listen to "hair metal", its good. dont care if u think less of me for it.
I came up with a list of the top ten songs ever written and therefore you must listen to before you die:
10.Aenema- TOOL
9.Soothsayer- Buckethead
8.All Along the Watchtower- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
7.Mean Street- Van Halen
6.Sugar- System of a Down
5.Hallowed Be Thy Name- Iron Maiden
4.For Those About to Rock- AC/DC
3.Fade to Black- Metallica
2.Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin
1.War Pigs/Luke's Wall- Black Sabbath
did you ever think that you were born at the wrong time. I was thinkin the other day, I don't belong here. I should have been born a long time ago. Now I know some of you will think well what would I do without my computer or the internet or my phone or 1000 TV channels that never have anything on. We don't need this stuff. I know I would have been a lot happier back 20, 30 years ago. The music the shear culture of the time period was amazing. The world these days is just sad. so much negativity. i know it was the same way back then but it was different. Now its just a matter of time before there's nothing left. you wait and see.
