We played at the Catstrand in New Galloway, and we won. Now i really really don't mean to be arogant here but the other bands weren't that good, there was some good talent in individaul players, Good Bass players couple of good guitarists, not really any good singers. We now go on to play a festival of which i can't spell the name lol, but its outside of Dalmelington on the 22nd of may.....i think, it was all good fun and if ye want, come along and see use playin, we are also playin at Room 60 in ayr, its the church where Borderline theatre used to be, near TK Maxx lol, well thats all. i'll let you's all know how it goes.
recently bought a Boss ME-50 effects board and it is immense lol, best board i have ever used, it has so many effects, most of them i will never use but its good to know that they are there lol.
We have been entered intop the Dumfries battel of the bands ( so many of them lol) and we have eben asked to do a half hour set to show off our musical abilities and basically what we hope to do is win and i don't mean to blow my own trumpet (no pun intended) but we are a really good band and if you go to www.bebo.com/standingmotion then give us a listen and see what u think, even leave us a comment telling us what u think. If we win this battle of the bands then it will be off to this other place whcih i can not remember the name of and we shall play at it and then get paid lol but its not all about the money.......its only partly about that. If you want to give us a view then come down to the Catstrad in dumfries on the 21st of December and pay £3 for a ticket (i know its a bit steep lol). I shall let all of you's that care which probably won't be many of yous out there but i hope there are some. I shall let you know what happens with it all and hopefully it will be positive this time
We enter the XFM battle of the bands with high hopes but it was all shatterede when we looked at the final 3 and we were not one of those 3. It was a terrible affair as it was 3 of the worst bands there that put into the final 3, not even the best band there (and that wasn't us lol) wasn't in the final 3, the system that XFM used was shocking, it should have been the other way around. The judges should hvae chosen the final 3 and then the public should have voted for the winner. This would mean that the bands that got through to the final 3 would at least have to have some talent and wouldn't be based on how many of your friends you could get to vote for you. But it has past now and the worst band on the short list won it, which i also find appauling lol. But all i can do is sit here and moan about it.
