I'm a high school student, been playing guitar for about a year. I play a lot of metal/rock, I'll play in all sorts of dropped tunings, as well as standard. My "gateway" into rock was Linkin Park, and since then I've moved on to Avenged Sevenfold (went to a concert), and now I've expanded into the progressive genre with bands like Porcupine Tree and Tool. I'm becoming a pretty big fan of Tool. I'm not too big with hip-hop or R&B. I can be friendly, but I keep to myself sometimes. My dream is to one day play a packed concert with awesome lighting and an ecstasic feel. I'm in a band currently (bassist), but I don't consider myself to be super amazing at playing, I just love doing it. Most of my inspiration comes during the night, when everyone tries to sleep. I'll sitting in my room listening to music and it'll hit me. During the day, it comes out forced sometimes. I guess it just has to come to me, and when it does, I get some pretty cool stuff. Too bad I never write it down. So yeah, I consider myself just your average teen guitarist, I'm not a shredder, I like the slower, more emotional solos rather than the 500 bpm shreds.
