You may disagree, but believe me the regulars (in particular, the ones who contributed) check it often enough. Obviously you're not in trouble for creating the thread, if you were thinking that way, or you'd have received a warning - we just like to keep the forum free of repeat threads that could be lumped together in one sticky thread.

We used to play The Shed too but that started to draw smaller and smaller crowds so not sure if they're still open at the moment (shame though, I loved the place!).
Do you know of any good venues around Leicester we could have a look at? Only place I know in Leicester is the Redeemer club, and when we played there last it was during the really bad snow that Jan/Feb so the support band didn't turn up and we played to a pretty small crowd of the die hard clubbers that braved the cold haha. |

There's The Shed, which is still open, and another fairly small venue called Lock42 (The Fury are playing there in July!) You mentioned Redeemer already. There's a place called Firebug that I'm pretty sure hosts bands, and I also hear tales of a pub called The Musician that has bands a lot, but I've never seen any evidence to prove that it exists. Humm...

Dunno if you liked what you heard or not, but if you have a moment it would be cool if you checked out our new track 'Embrace The Abyss' on facebook/reverbnation, as it's a step in a slightly different direction and a taster of our upcoming album we produced ourselves as we've never been completely happy with the recording quality on our last few releases.
If it really wasn't your thing anyway, no problem but thanks for showing us that the Metal Hammer CD helped us get our name out there a little bit more |
Yeah, it was the AC DC tribute issue and I think it was last year when it was released. And, yeah, your band are good enough so I'll check you's out

Things are going well, just school/work and the usual shit. I've got a couple bands wanting to record EPs with me and what not so things are going really well on that front. I'm trying to get back into writing music again; I haven't really written anything serious is way too long, been too caught up with other peoples' stuff!
