This is my best song yet! I wrote it in about 4 days time, and it encompasses many, many different instruments. In Theory, the song could continue forever seeing as it has such a good transition from end to beginning, but I like the gong ending ;] { Tags : Confusion, Amonst, themselves, orchestra, awesome, ensemble, strings, brass, etc }
This is really two songs in one... it's an intro + Closing the Gap, but they transition into each other, so I decided to keep it that way.
The main problems with this conversion is that I had to make the bass a "distorted" bass so that you could hear it... but you still have a hard time, so oh well. { Tags : And, begins, closing, the, gap, progressive, power, symphonic, metal }
This is my first time working with Sibelius, as well as my first time writing for orchestra, and I feel it's pretty good. It has it's parts that need work, like some of the transitions, but overall I think it's good. The ending section is the best though... by far.
It's supposed to start off sounding dark... I don't know how well I did that though. The end I just kind of... wrote. When I posted my first version on the forum, someone said it sounded like a menu theme, and this is where it went. { Tags : Video, game, project, menu, sibelius }
This was originally a composition for choir, but I changed it into a wind quartet consisting of a Flute (the Soprano part), a Clarinet in Bb (the Alto), and 2 Bassoons (Tenor and Bass).
