Also known as Ny (Anthony Trinh) and my stage name Delfius Garland. I love music. A lot. That's probably all you really need to know.
But if you'd like to know, well, sure why not...
I love to sing, create vocal harmonies, and musical arrangements combining vocals with a variety of instruments. I enjoy playing keyboard and guitar in equal measure, and learning the cello.
Music aside, I work as a software engineer in Sydney, developing CAD software for the fashion industry.
I've recently gotten started with YouTube, so do please visit my channel:
And credit to the people in my musical life:
Nina Stamell, my friend, idol, and biggest inspiration since the day I met her at my first gig. The most talented singer/songwriter I have the pleasure of knowing, she wrote the original "My Guide" and "Long Tonight", the latter which she blessed me with the privilege of recording a duet.
Jakub Jirasek (aka Goose, mrcivic33), my BFF, who taught me how to play guitar. We shared our first paid gig together at the Roxbury Hotel in June 2011. He played the guitar solo in my cover version of Evanescence's "My Immortal", and will soon feature in a duet version of the Cat Stevens classic "Father and Son".
Sarah Eggleton, contrary to popular belief, is not really a hairdresser! She is a dear friend and my first duet partner, together recording our duet version of Ronan Keating's "This is Our Song" in February 2011.
Biljana Katic, my Number#1 fan, who inspired me to learn to play keys. (thanks for all the support and the people you bring to my gigs!
Emily Talia Romance (aka TechnicolorType), friend who helped me out when I started recording, and introduced me to the electric guitar. Emily composed the original "Imprisoned Reflection", and is also the subject of my not-so-serious pop/rock ballad "zOMG It's Emily!"
And lastly, honorable mention to Evanescence, my all-time favourite band, whose deeply heartfelt ballad "My Immortal" provided the inspiration that started my life as a musician...
