Yeah, I took a look at them over the weekend. The vocal style you're looking for isn't really in my wheelhouse. The two "harsh" styles I'm worst at are black metal shrieks and gutturals ;__;

The one black metal song isn't really high pitched though. The vocals you did on your In Flames cover would work really well. For Cosmic Invaders on the other hand...
What did you think of the songs anyway? Oh yeah, if you ever need any guitar solos or maybe banjo or slide guitar (particularly lap steel type stuff) for any songs you do I could always do that. I know you're into post metal and prog, and I think steel guitar could really fit in well in that sort of genre.
I'll definitely look those guys up, I recall seeing King of Kumbacha around fairly recently. I could always put up a thread in the classifieds forum.

There's that one song I wrote for jetfuel495, if you haven't listened to it, that's pretty much the extent of what I can do. I also could always use help with lyrics, since I'm not much of a writer.
But I have a lot of things, probably about an hour or so of material: some brutal death metal, some black metal, some funeral doom, some folk metal, etc. I'm thinking I'm probably going to make a however many way split, so that way I don't have to actually force myself to write a whole album by myself for any one of my many solo projects.
If you want I can send you a couple of a songs (gp5, tg, midi, etc.) so you can get an idea. quote |
