i guess when you are a good/consistent musician, after some rehersal, you can go into the recording room and get it right in few atempts but, I'm not like that the standard level was pretty low, i just let it go like that.
For example, the Psycho song, I'm really working on it so the vocals are the best I can possibly do, which isn't saying much lol

have mad a few dollars already! Not so much about the money, MORE about the exposure and justification! It is also a BITCHN' site to hear new music and get new friends. I can see, if you had enough listeners, you could make some cash over there. They have a thing that says the top money makers for the month!

Thanks for checking my song out again for "noise", I think my speakers got blown recording the last song! Glad it isn't on the track! The more I record, I find it mor and more important to me to have the BEST sound quality possible, then I know IT is the MUSIC people are hearing, not the "NOISE", then I can go from there.
Did you record it multi-track? I always record multi track, then I can do MANY vocal versions 'till I find the right sound. It is easier to copy a vocal performance than it is the entire guitar track. Getting something right in the first attempt is a great thing, I think too many musicians kill the creativity by playing a part OVER and OVER again 'till they think they get it right, I hear, most recordings come from the first few takes anyway! quote |
