I was born in 1947 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and I am a retired Bookkeeper.
I learned to play my first chords in 1964, at sea, with the help of a chords book. That was during a 6 years contract with the Royal Dutch Navy (1963-1969).
I played rhythm guitar for about 2 years in the Dutch cover band: Retro (1998-2000).
I didn't like the arguments, because I don't like stress, so I left and started my 'one man band': Dairybeat.
In 2004, I home-recorded a fun Cd with 15 songs, 12 are mine, 1 is 60/40: Another Apache/Apache (The Shadows U.K.), and 2 are full covers: Sophie (Eleanor McEvoy) and World Of Hurt (Beth Nielson Chapman).
The vocals in 2 songs were sung by: Jason Scott (U.K.), all the others, apart from the Guitar Instrumental: El Nido, were sung by the Dutch female singer: Sandra Karreman-Otto. The 2 full covers were recorded at her request.
Most lead guitar was played by Peter Teljeur, some by myself. Both, Peter and Jason, were former members of Retro too.
My guitar instrumental 'El Nido' (The Nest), was kindly recorded for me and very well played by Pete(r) Korving, in a 'The Shadows style'. Pete plays solo guitar in the Dutch group: The Seaside Shadows.
For all the other songs, I first recorded the instruments from a keyboard with the help of Casio-Chords, then I added rhythm & solo guitars and finally the vocals.

Since some years, once a month during an afternoon, I do a musical session at home with my next door neighbour Cees Brijde, who plays guitar as well.
As I live in a corner house and Cees next door, whe can make as much noise as we like...
In 2009 I again recorded an instrumental in a 'The Shadows style', written by Cees in 2008 named: Olympic Sunday. I first Adapted, Arranged and Tabbed it, then I made a backing track and finally I added the (demo) lead guitar).
