I really got down and thought about this thing the creationists keep talking about, now I guess I would say I am an atheist, although I just don't really care until I realized how stupid this point is.
Now the Creationists believe that "Everything has a design to it so their must be a designer" and that's how the think they "prove" god exists.
Well look at it, a rock, ok it has a design, it's a random shape, and can have any color, the way god made it. What if a rock was square? "Well that's the way god made it", See if floats either way, I don't know the word for this type of argument, but technically it could be anything. Birds could be full on retarded genetically and have 8 penises growing out of their arms as wings with vajayjay's for eyes and they would still say "That's how God designed it".
Am I the ONLY one who see's how stupid this is? Whether god exists or not is irrelevant, I'm not going to get into that now, It's just the overall attempt at Manipulation by the creationists.
I'm asking you guys for your serious thoughts on this, thanks.
So, basically, your argument is that, because rocks could be square, God doesn't exist.
The argument of design has nothing to do with what an object looks like. The argument essentially boils down to this:
"Since watches are the products of intelligent design, and living things are like watches in having complicated mechanisms which serve a purpose (e.g., having eyeballs to enable sight), living things are probably the products of intelligent design as well."
It's about inward mechanisms, not outward appearance.
No your not getting it all and are attempting to deceive again with an argument that will go no where.
What it you smelled with your eyeballs and saw out your nose? Well God would have designed it like that wouldn't he of, see no matter what happens, you can always say the same, if I had two feet at the end of each leg, it would be "god's design", so I was more stable and so I could run faster.
No. The argument says that, because humans are complex with their inner workings, regardless of what those inner workings are, it would make sense that their was a designer to "program" these internal mechanisms.
And don't give me any of that "deception" nonsense; I'm an atheist. You just need to get your facts straight.
I'm not sure what you're getting at. If I mold clay into a random shape.. I designed it that way. If I mold it in to a square. I did that too. I can't even begin to think of how horrible it would be if I took two lumps of clay and molded them into any shape I wanted!
my question is why does someone always have to be right or wrong, why can't Christianity and agnosticism co-exist. Will farrell once said some very wise words.
