Goddamnit

I wrote a super long blog this morning about CTRL ALT DEL and how much it's changed over the years and why, with lots of pics, explanations and links, then I went to "Preview Blog" and clicked on a link to try it out, and a nanosecond later realised my mistake. When I klicked on the "back" button, my blog was gone.
All of it.

so here's the short version:

CTRL ALT DEL is a webcomic by Tim Buckley, and has been going downhill ever since that stupid miscarriage comic.
Buckley cannot tell drama stories to save his life, he needs to bring back the video game and computer nerd jokes, and he needs to change his new design back, because the new design of his comic looks like snow barfed up by an albino sasquatch.

go read Dr McNinja instead.

They WILL be mine: extending my guitar harem

Current mood: Giggity

I'm talking about these babies.

and

two beautiful Agile 7-strings, both priced at about 650 dollars.
plus shipping to Germany, they'll come out at around 730 dollars, which is "only" 487 Euros.

However, if these guys don't make it through customs unscathed, that will be another 100/150 Euros import tax

Oh well, a 27" scale 7-string for 600 Euros, it's not too bad.
Considering how they are easily the best cheap ERG's available, and they are sexy as hell, it'll definately be worth it.

What is my current guitar, you might ask?

This ugly bitch:

who is in desperate need of a new paint job and possibly a fretboard stain (is that even possible?)
She sounds like a beast (I call her "Shiva", who I KNOW is a male deity, but fuck it, it sounds like a chick's name), but she is seriously not that pretty.
Thank god for cosmetic surgery!

I am also thinking of getting a 6-string, because the extended scale on the 8-string really gives the high strings a harsh tone. That's not always a bad thing, but for doing clean or bluesy stuff, I'd rather have a normal scale guitar.
I am currently looking at the Ibanez 1570, which I used to own, and sadly had to sell to pay for bills (still have pics of it up), but that is a pretty expensive guitar... maybe I'll go with another Agile, instead.

However, maybe the slightly shorter scale length of the 7's would suffice, I'll have to check that out.
Sheesh, Agile guitars are addicting. They come in so many shaped and colors, and they have the widest range of low-end ERGs of any company that I know of.
Why get an ERG (extended range guitar), why not just downtune?
Well, I really being able to play clean, standard chords, and then with the flip of a switch go to crushing 8-string chugging, which is something you simply can't do on a normal guitar.
I grew up playing the piano, which has a considerably larger range than the guitar (as well as several tons of string tension on the wodden frame), and the low, low notes is something I've always missed on guitar.
Thank god for Meshuggah, and their paving the way for 8-string guitars!
But, I have to admit that the 8th string DOES get in the way of 7-string chugging, which is where I play the most, anyways, so that's why I'm looking to extend my collection of extended range guitars to the two beautiful honeys I posted at the beginning :D
Fap, ye minions! Fap to the glory of the extended range guitars!

Listen to Kalium

When I write, I never have any idea of where I'm going. when I write a riff or a melody, I build up on it, but never really have any idea what the ending song will sound like or what it will be about.
Take the song Kalium, for instance, it's starts about how the world has ended, and two people are the last humans alive, because they were able to escape the destruction by hiding.
When I started it out, I planned to paint a picture of destruction and despair, but the more I wrote, the more it became about the connection these last two people share.

Yes, the song "Kalium" from my music project "Kalium" is nothing but a cleverly disguised love song.
And that goes for many other songs as well.

People have commented that my songs are all very sad, but I disagree. If anything, I find my songs very positive and hopeful, or else pissed off and angsty, but never really sad.
but that's just my opinion.
Why this long-ass rambling rant? because I may be banned, but I'll be damned if I won't still use UG to get out my incoherent thoughts that my mind produces at 3:50 a.m. :p:

Oh yeah, commercial break! commercial plug!

phew, got that out of the way.

But yeah, go listen to my music. I guarantee you'll like at least one song out of my mp3s on my coreysMonster profile page and my music project's profile page

If you think my music sucks, well then you're dildos.
