I mostly play metal also. I love mine, R-Fier channel is fantastic. Easy to get a good metal tone from it using a bridge humbucker. The JC clean channel is also good, the cleans are really full rather than shimmery if you know what I mean. The only down side of this amp are the overdrives which are OK just not up to the cleans and distortions high standards.

As for features, the tuner is pretty good, the power squeezer I dont really use, it just makes it quieter and boosts the mids and bass but doesnt really increase sustain like it advertises. The effects are OK pretty basic with not enough controls to really be able to use them properly.

So I got the Cube on Christmas Eve. Like you said, the R-Fier is amazing. It can pull out such great metal tone. My favorite so far. The OD's are eh at best.. the JC clean is excellent (again as you said). Couldn't have asked for a better amp IMO.

What style of music do you play? I play mostly metal, and i've played the amp before and it sounded great for it.
The amp seems decent, but I'll ask someone who actually owns it..
