I'm buying a Triamp MK 1 for a decent price. Just re-tubed. Wish it had LED's though. :-(

Sweet how much you getting the MKI for? See you know the MKII is awesome just for the lights ;) lol

Thanks for visiting. I think you might like the slide in open D clip I did. Im not fond of the drop C slidework I did. Too loose and sloppy for me.
I like the open D clip. Great playing! Sound is actually pretty good (if not, at least very fitting, it sounds like an old delta blues recording) One short coming though (and this is prob obvious) is that the quality really makes it hard to hear the true tone of the amp coming through in the '80s and drop C clip. I imagine that is the one that you have the amp biased hot on?

Yeah that definitely sucks. I wouldn't begin to know where the problem lies without peeking into the chassis, and even then it's not certain. Those amps are fucking complicated.

Well so long as the shop sorts it all out, I'll be gravy.

Yeah doesnt that thing have push-pull pots?

Oh, that's the solo knob... mine's the treble knob on channel 3... the MkV does not have as many push-pulls as the MkIV has.

I think mine's a matter of connections or cold solders. The pot still works fine, just that I have to like press on it to get any sound out of channel 3.

Oh that sucks. What's even suckier is those are not standard pots, either.

Not standard pots?

That Mark V is t3h gawdamn sex.

It sure is... sad part is... its in the workshop right now. There seems to be a problem with the treble pot of channel 3, which meant that I got no sound out of my channel 3 until I push down on the treble pot.

Much sadness.

I'm contemplating A/Bing a Marshall, like a TSL 60 or JCM800 2205 with my Peavey. Use the Marshall for clean and crunch up to heavy rythym and use just the Peavey's lead channel for lead shit. Whattaya think? I love the Peavey lead, but I gotta have that middy, molten Marshall crunch in there somewhere.

Could be interesting, the Marshalls will bring in the high end grind. Give your tone a little more of a "chainsaw" like crunch to it.

Cool gear, G. I like the clips. At least you've the balls to post clips, unlike the elitist , opinionated dumbasses that ride on the idea that if they tell us they listen to Petrucci and MAB, we assume they can play just like them.

Haha, thanks man, and I totally agree ;)

Hey I liked the thread on guitar styles too, who wouldn't . Some people are surprisingly sensitive. Weird!

Enjoyed your thread about parodying guitar styles, btw.
