I don't know where you found evidence to assume that I was "arguing" with you in any sense of the word...I'm not requesting that you change your decision, as there is a definite lack of evidence to support my case.

I simply wanted to voice a more formal opinion - something I thought you'd appreciate being a writer - informing you that your inability to deal with real life as it pertains to the opinions of other members on this site is a poor excuse to cause them to have to create another account, especially if they spent a lot of time uploading things (not that I had...)

Well, since the educational aspect of my comment was only the evidence and not the point, I'd say that it was of minimal importance anyway...

I went and looked it up, and I apologize for misinterpreting college as being a university. As far as most of UG users are concerned, college and university are interchangeable.

I find it amusing that the only thing you found to attack in my comment revolved around the idea that I didn't know the intricacies of the UK college system - did you honestly think I was making an effort to write a well-though-out, researched burn - I just wanted to inform him how egotistical he is...

Here, I assume that you, having the power to ban someone's account permanently, are a person of some importance. It says on your profile that you are a college graduate who writes columns for this website. Based on the clientele that frequent UG, I would venture to say that few of them give a damn about what people do or say in a post - provided it doesn't violate any rules. This would lead me to believe that you've banned a number of people (whose comments make up the bulk of your profile's 19 pages) for simply stating their opinion. In light of this, I would like to state mine:

Please hereby refrain from banning people for having an opinion. In the real world, you can't simply ban someone (i.e. terminate them) simply because they don't agree with you or you don't like what they have to say. Although I know that many people shouldn't voice their opinions - as they are either: stupid, pointless, mindless, mean, overtly troll-ish, etc. - they DO HAVE THE RIGHT to do so, and you need to deal with this truth.
