What to do... What to DO...

Well, I have a lot of possiblities I can go for with my gear. Ihopefully you've looked at my gear, otherwise do so now, because you probably won't know what I'm talking about.

Have you looked yet? Okay, well I have a full-hollowbody Ibanez, and I love it to death. My only hang-up is that my parents went for the $50 cheaper model than theone I had originally wanted, the AFS74T, which has an Ibanez vibrato bar. This isn't a huge issue, since I think I like this finish a bit better, plus it couldput my in the market for another Artcore (I saw one at my Guitar Center that looking like a damn White Falcon for only $400! I NEED IT!),or at least a new hollowbody. However, since I just got this last Christmas and my birthday is in 16 days (I'm looking at a calendar, I don't have it in a mental countdown), this makes that market not open for a few months, perhaps past Christmas this year.

So, this leads to my first possibility: I want a Bigsby installed on my Artcore. My little Crate Electra has the whammy, but I want myhollowbody to have that capability. I've checked Froogle, and a Bigsby for a hollowbody runs about $100. My only thing is that I don't want there to be any empty holes visible if I put on the new tailpiece. Of course, there's also the fact I don't know what the inside of my guitar looks like, as well as unaware of what the tail end of a Bigsby looks like, thus I cannot make an informed decision as to whether or not my above concerns are applicable. If you have any information or insight on this, I made a thread called "Installing a Bigsby" in the Gear Building & Customizing forum.

Another possibilty is that of effects pedals. Right now, I'm looking for a good delay. This is solely for my rockabilly/psychobilly playing, and I've been told that a digital delay (i.e. the Boss DD-3/DD-6) isn't the best for thatand to go for an analog delay.

In the way of analog delay, I know of these:
-Dunlop MXR M-169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay   $150
-Jaques Prisoner Analog Delay                         $200
-Maxon AD9Pro                                             $300
-BBE Sound Inc. Two-Timer Delay                    $210

Now, the ones that really appeal to me are the MXR and the BBE, though I don't knowmuch about BBE, and they don't have a demo of the pedal on their site yet. The MXR has been on my mind for a while, but I love the aesthetics of the BBE (i.e., the decal is fucking AWESOME!), and would probably be willing to shell out the extra $60 or so.

Yet another possiblity is that I am also in the market for a good distortion/overdrive pedal. I don't really play metal, but if I did, my Gorilla could probably handle it. What I want this for is my new Peavey, which is so hardcore retro tube that it only has a clean channel (i.e., Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master Volume, and an On/Off switch are all that grace it besides the two input jacks). I love the tone it has though, and I've been looking for something that would only be a bit distorted, to give it that extra grit. In this case, I've found the Boss Blues Driver. I was initially anti-Boss, but I want it now that I know that Jim Heath uses it (The Reverend Horton Heat). The distortion isn't 100% necesary, as I can get a bunch of distortion from my Gorilla, but I would like my Peavey to be able to have that grit, too, without having to crank the volume. If anyone has any other, similar distortion/overdrive pedals in mind that can be good for the same purpose, PLEASE let me know and leave a comment.

Well, that seems to be about it. My birthday's in 16 days, like I said before, and just about everything I've asked for is guitar related. I also have that $5 gift card Guitar Center mailed out if you did that online survey thing. I also have two birthday parties (one for friends, one for family), as well as allowance due, so I'll probably be getting some money in for these things. Gah, I hate having tons of things to do with money that are all the same price...
