I started Guitar September 6th of this year (2007). Originally, I was going to play drums, but I realized it would take me too long to do anything worthwhile, and learning to play the drums isn't as straightforward as any other instrument. So I wimped out of that.
I know a lot of people who play and they help me out a great deal. For awhile, I've just been playing what sounds fun and just entertaining myself, but eventually I will get around to learning Blues guitar (or Jazz, same difference).
