I wake to the crisp smell of winter overpowered by perfume. I'm alone. I rise out of bed and slowly walk towards the door. I quicken my pace as i step into the hall. I take the elevator to the lobby.
"I'm checking out of room 512," I tell the concierge.
"Do you have everything you need?" She asks in a heavy Hispanic accent as she looks me up and down.
"I have everything I came with," I reply.
I walk to the door and take my hands out my pockets to open it. The cold air rejuvenates my body and soul. I step into my car and grip the wheel. I drive.
