Record labels aren't gonna look at you unless you've something to show them. Making/winning the finals would be key, and the prizes won't hurt either. In the 4 and a half months we've been at it, we've played places they wouldn't even let us in before, like the Gibson Showcase Room (yeah, those Gibson people are like that... they must have read my posts) and the Hard Rock Cafe. If we can keep hitting the hot spots and get some coverage, then we can start knocking on doors. Until then, we have to bullshit with fickle judges and ticket sales. quote |
