Only in the last few years have i really started reading a significant amount and i'm now well on the way on one of my lifes aims to read all the Terry Pratchett books. Heres a breakdown of my favorite authors:
Terry Pratchett, William Gibson, HP Lovecraft, Aldous Huxley, Hunter S Thompson, George Orwell, HG Wells, Bret Easton Ellis, Alex Garland.
Favorite tv :
I rarely just watch TV, i much rather avoid all those annoying adverts and get the DVD of a series or watch it on the laptop. Favorite series: Scrubs, Evangelion, Skins, Harvey Birdman, Robot Chicken, Doctor Who, Spaced.
Favorite movies :
I am generally a fan of Japanese martial arts and sci-fi films but i am a firm enjoyer of a good horror, comedy or even tear jerker (Grave Of The Fireflies for example, if you do not water up then YOU HAVE NO SOUL). A quick perusal of my DVD collection: Akira, House Of Flying Daggers, Dog Soldiers, Casshern, Versus, Azumi, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Warrior King, Ong Bak, the Studio Ghibli films, Fight Club, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Starship Troopers etc etc...
