My name is Patrick Joseph Dominique Vincinzo Serra. Born 12-28-1991 in Dayton Ohio. I now live in Alpharetta Georgia and have for 12 to 13 years. I first started playing guitar in the 8th grade when I met my friend Jonathan. At the time he had been playing for 6 years now hes been playing for 10 and I've been playing for almost 4 years. I currently own 6 guitars. the first one I owned is a shitty First act guitar. It's equivalent to a wallmart guitar. very, very soon after that I obtained my first real guitar. I got my Alverez for christmas that year. I learned to play a lot on that guitar. after about a year of playing I really got into electric guitar. I worked for a summer and saved up enough money to get my Schecter. I played both those guitars until my Junior year in High school. I saw the movie "August Rush" and feel in love with the style of playing. I then spent a lot of time researching the tuning played that thats when I first learnt about DADGAD and open tunings. on the 1st weekend of the second semester at my school, I spent most of that weekend high jamming with friends. on that saturday I spent time with my Mom, and we happen to be near a music store so I went in. I started testing out guitars and found the mitchell MD-100S, I started playing it and liked how it sounded my mom came in and I decided I wanted to buy it. Before I did she asked, my now guitar teacher Derek Ferwerdn, to play it and get some feedback. He sat down told me to go get another guitar which was the Mitchell MD-300S a custom model that Mitchell only sells to that store and guitar center. I took it to him he asked what style of music i liked. I told him the instrumental style from the movie "August Rush". He didnt say a word, all he did was tune the guitar to dadgad and started playing beautifully. I fell In love with the 300S instantly and got it plus became Dereks new student. In the lessons I've had with him I have progressed extremely in the acoustic percussion style. I also have a 12 string Mitchell 100S
My most current acoustic I have now is a Blueridge BR-260.
My musical experiances are pretty unique. I go to Hyde School in Bath, Maine, and some of the music student get a wonderful opportunity to record our songs we have written in a studio we have here, then once a year, because Micheal McDonald (of the doobie brothers) is an alumnies parent Dylan McDonald went here, we get to go down to Nashville and work in a professional studio recording a song of our choice.
