yo dude, watch some of the gnr rock in rio 2011 videos; the stage is absolutely flooded. no possible way they coulda been on time.
although axl did release a statement very very recently with words to the effect of 'if im late for a show then im late for a show; up yours'
he is a bit of an ass, but by far the most talented and broad viewed member of gnr.

Line In port on my laptop, have chord hooked to the back of the record out port of my ME70, which is also hooked to the am so I can hear myself while I record.
Program-wise its just audacity.
