My name's Dylan, and I'm an eighteen year old dude who's easily a generation or two behind. I love music with a passion, and spend most of my time either listening to music, or trying to come up with music. I also spend alot of time writing poetry and lyrics (I have a book in the works), and collecting vinyl records.
I've been playing guitar for, I want to say, nearly 2 years. Give or take. I'm completely self taught, mainly by ear. I enjoy learning songs by listening to them more than by tabs - I feel like I learn more and can use that information to create my own sounds. I also play bass (not like guitar, unlike most guitar/bassists), as well as a bit of piano.
I'm engaged to this amazing girl who I want to spend the rest of my life with. Our two year anniversary is just around the corner, and I'm currently going to school to get my degree in Third Wave Psychology.
I don't currently play in any real bands, although I do regularly jam with local musicians. I have a whole album's worth of material written from my own project though, should I ever find the time to actually sit down and record all of it *correctly*. All of my recordings on here are just sloppily thrown together ideas. Since I learn best by ear, I can record a general idea, and then play it back later if I forgot it to relearn it, so thats what I do.
