Well, you seem to be as much of a fanboy of this band as I am of Tenhi.

Nonetheless, while the songs I've sampled dont do it for me like Tenhi does, I can dig it. I will probably get around to them soonish.

I think your comparison is perfectly accurate. :p:

I think you should still check them out if you enjoy neo-folk at all. I recommend their latest album, the trilogy. From what I've heard from Tenhi, they're good, but they just don't do it for me like Rome; it seems to be that we are diametrically opposed.

Not gonna lie, Rome I don't know. Gimme an example?

If you like this then I suggest you try to download/buy all of their albums. They're from Luxembourg, and they are most certainly worth your time. I even made a thread on them a while back.

So I listened to that Leonard Cohen song you posted. Voice was better, but as a whole it still didnt do it for me. The guitar playing was nice, albeit repetitive [which in itself is not a bad thing], and the voice was monotonous but not unpleasant, but altogether I just... Eh. Was unmoved. Am I missing something?

I don't think you're missing anything BA, I just think that you don't like Cohen which is fine by me! However, if you don't like Rome, then we are going to start having problems.

I posted this in the Rec thread too, but dude. Are you aware that the Czech Avenger we love just put out an (excellent) album?

NO WAAAIII. That's awesome. I'll have to look into it.

So, my Bronco's have suddenly went from a team I expected to win between 6 and 8 games, to a team that should win 10 or more, more likely 12. xD

I think you guys get a chance to play the Patriots again. That'll be interesting. So what's new with you, anything much?

I'm not really sure about next season. It comes down to injuries I guess, since that's what has killed us in the second halves of the last four seasons. This season we just barely even got in, but by the end of the season everyone was pretty healthy and we were obviously able to get it together the last few games, and then of course the playoffs.

theogonia777 wrote on Feb 7th, 2012 4:06pm

Thanks. I was kind of disappointed by the game though, but to be fair it was following up the NFC Championship game... This whole season was just nuts though. Almost every game was just ridiculously close. I can't tell you how much pacing I did this season. :haha:

So how do you think next year's going to go for the Broncos?

theogonia777 wrote on Jan 29th, 2012 8:49pm

Yeah, I don't like the Patriots much either, but for different reasons. I couldn't kind of wanted to play the Ravens though, since they beat us last time in the Super Bowl. And yeah, whenever you have time. It's not really anything you haven't already heard a million times before, but I think it's at least pretty solid, and sometimes that counts for more than originality.

So how about those Giants? Better luck next year for you guys, I guess. So I got that song I showed you recorded. There's still much work to be done though.

Yeah, if they had lost because of that call... But if there's one thing anyone has ever learned about the playoffs, it's of that you really never know what's gonna happen. You might as well throw away all of the records and statistics from the season, since they really don't mean a thing now. There are so many teams that just play on a whole other level when the playoffs come around, and you never know when someone's going to have a big day or make a big mistake.

And I think we have a good shot against the Packers. Whether we win or not, it will probably turn out to be a great game, and I'm sure Aaron Rodgers is gonna spend a good part of the game with his face in the turf. We'll just have to hope that Victor Cruz will be good for a couple more 99 yard plays.

And no problem. Interestingly enough, you share a birthday with Earl Scruggs. He's like 88 now. He's not quite as fast as he used to be, but that old codger's still got it.

So are you going to reconsider your opinion of Tim Tebow, or wait until after next week's game against the Pats?

theogonia777 wrote on Jan 6th, 2012 3:33pm

happy birthday!

20 is slightly better than 19, but still not great, since nothing is really different other than not being a teenager.

theogonia777 wrote on Jan 4th, 2012 2:33pm

Yeah, we came within three last time, but that was at home of course. I'm sure it's going to be much tougher playing them on Lambeau Field. We'll just hope that Victor Cruz can be good for a few more 70 yard plays. But you never know what's going to happen in the playoffs. And same thing for you guys, crazier things have happened.

And thanks. I don't have anyone to do vocals though. I've asked a few people that I know on UG and in real life, but everyone is either busy or doesn't think they're up to doing it. Do you know any of the metal forum regs that would be interested something like that?

Wait, as in my last.fm?

That's not entirely accurate... my itunes crashed awhile back so I've been working on getting winAMP up to speed and havent really used last.fm in at least a few weeks... But eh, you may find something to your liking in there I guess.

Ah that sucks; my iTunes crashed on my old computer program and lost everything. had over two weeks worth of songs on that bitch... And now my computer remembers nothing. Or it's playing dumb with me. winAMP,eh?

theogonia777 wrote on Jan 2nd, 2012 6:13pm

Yup, nothing better than entering the playoffs on a three game losing streak. Against the Steelers no less. And if they win, they'd still have to play either the Ravens or the Patriots. It could be worse though. If we win against the Falcons, then we'll most likely have to play against Green Bay. On the road this time. -_-

Oh yeah, so I'm finally getting around to recording some songs. The first one you might like. I have a super lofi recording of a couple of riffs from awhile back, on my profile under "Bands" section, it's the first one "Scarecrows From The Sky." I can't even remember how I came up with that name for a band.

Ah well.

Anything grab you from my nice BM list, btw?

Funny thing about that, your list actually somehow caused Vikingligr Veldi to click with me, which is awesome. Never understood that album at all until now, so thanks haha. Otherwise I liked Irrwisch and a couple others.
