Favorite bands :
There are so many to choose from it's difficult to pick my favorite. I like everything from R & B, Blues, Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal. As long as there are some good guitarists to listen to in the music, I probably like it.
Favorite guitarists :
Right now my favorite guitarists is without a doubt, Warren Haynes. He has the most incredible tone and he milks that sweet Les Paul for all it's worth.
Some of my other favorites include, (but not limited to) Frank Marino - he was the first concet I ever saw way back in '75. Michael Schenker - although he never reached the star status he deserved. Pat Travers, Robin Trower, Gary Moore, Lonnie Mack, B.B. King, Roy Buchanan, Billy Gibbons, SRV, Ian Moore, Kirk Hammet, Dimebag Darrell, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde. You get the picture, this list could go on for days.
Favorite bassists :
I don't have a favorite.
Favorite books :
I like true crime books, anything by Stephen King and non-fiction books.
Favorite tv :
I don't watch much TV. I think TV has played a major part in the dumbing down of Americans. I grew up with only three channels to choose from, so I prefer actually doing something vs. watching someone else doing something.
Favorite movies :
I prefer comedies and horror movies.
I am 44 yrs. old, I still think and act like I'm in my late 20's. I recently went back to school full time, pursuing a degree in Instrumentation, (not the musical kind either). I love music, but especially guitar driven music. If something is being played and I can't hear the guitar, I'm not gonna listen to it. I also love to hunt and fish, I prefer to be outdoors whenever possible. I recently started back on my guitar. Although I always had one since I was about 10 or 11, I never progressed as far as wanted to. Now I have the time to practice. That is how I came across this web site, looking for tab and lessons online. This site seems to have everything I need all in one location. I'm gonna see how much progress I can make with the help and advice available on this site.
