How's your theory? That will help a lot with theme development and rearranging certain sections to make it more interesting.

yea i know what you mean, we get that a lot. those songs were made before i joined, there was no input how the rhythm would sound, it was just straight shred and grind, so i just went along with it when i wrote my parts. and there are a few sections that arent in key just cause i didnt want to go through all the trouble of analyzing every note they would play on the sweep/tap fills, so i would just guess by ear pretty much.

actually our new songs with the new drummer are like how you recommended. we had to tone it down a lot with all the sweep and tap fills since he wasnt getting it. as a result it sounds a lot more focused and riff orientented so the audience can get into more, and since im in the writing process now its more coherent since were on the same page. thanks for the listen though bro, i appreciate it
