Was my first show and it was absolutely amazing! I went with a friend, my aunt, and a family friend last night. His set list was:
Belief
No Such Thing into Why Georgia
Waiting on the World to Change
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
Free Falling
Bigger Than My Body
Mercy
Vultures
Heart Of Life
Stitched Up
Crossroads
Gravity
Encore
Bold As Love
The Wind Cries Mary
Wheel
Say
We left at the end of Wheel but it was so worth the $50 we paid per person, specially cause I didn't have to pay anything and we moved after the opening act to seats in the center about half way up, they were perfect. I really think he is underrated as a player, he had an amazing solo at the end of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room. And the Hendrix covers were amazing in themselves, I walked away from that concert with an amazing night of memories, an awesome shirt, and a concert poster haha. I'm now actively looking for a copy of his "Where the Light Is" dvd, it was that good of a show. Will definitely try to go again next year if he's around.
Hey all, I have no clue why you're reading this but here I go. Since May 6th I learned to play In Bloom- Nirvana all the way through, More of Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd, Half of Dani California- RHCP, Beginning to Scar Tissue- RHCP, Beginning to Smells Like Teen Spirit(lol)- Nirvana, and the beginning to I Feel Fine- The Beatles. Scar Tissue's rhythm continues to give me trouble however. I'll update once I remember again haha
Not having a complete profile thing annoys me. So I figured I'll just write what I learn week to week and I guess you could comment on how I'm progressing if you wanted. Well to start, I've been taking lessons for 8 weeks tom., a day a week for a half hour. So far I can do: Time is On My Side- Rolling Stones, Eight Days A Week- The Beatles, the Can't Explain riff- THe Who, Intro to Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd, Intro to Paranoid- Black Sabbath, Smoke on the Water Riff(of course lol), Intro to Come as You Are and the Intro to In Bloom- Nirvana. In additon to that I can Construct a Major and Minor scale anywhere on the neck, but I don't know what MAjor or Minor scale it will be unless its C Major or A Minor. I'm such I noob playing wise, but technologically I know a lot about guitars. Ah well, Maybe I'll wrtie another one of these with my progress acouple weeks from now if this gets commented enough.
