well I'm planning on buying a Les Paul in the near future so some orientation could help me get a good sound for not so much money.
Your Les Paul is made out of Mahony/Alder? |
im pretty sure all les pauls are made out of mahogany and they are all single pieces unlike a stratocaster
so if you were to get an epiphone les paul and put gibson pick ups in it it will sound 90% like a gibson les paul..the rest is the quality of the woods fault..they use the better quality stuff for the gibsons
about 2 years after i got my epiphone les paul i had to change the pots because the sound was cutting out of my pickups...

Hey, how do you think the Epiphone Les Paul with the Gibson bucker compares to a Gibson? Is it that comparable that it is more than worth the price difference? |
the the epiphone les paul is a different wood, putting gibson pick ups in it will give it a gibson sound
so 500+ for a epiphone les paul
150 for gibson burstbucker pro
??? for other pickup
that will top out at around 750 total..which is what mine cost
a gibson alone is around 1000
im happy with my epiphone
why the question?
