Favorite guitarists :
-Yngwie Malmsteen is AMAZING.||
-Randy Rhoads was always really good, R.I.P.||
-Oli Herbert is really good, he makes amazing riffs and solos in ATR's songs.||
-Mick Thompson makes himself one of my top guitarists, not 'cause he's in one of my favorite bands, but because he plays so well and makes difficult solos that are actually really fun to play.||
-Angus Young. I love how he plays Thunderstruck, and how he can do that duck walk across the stage while playing it. That takes some concentration.||
-B illy Joel Armstrong playing 21 Guns is simply amazing. I don't know how any one can make a song sound so fantastic.||
-John Petrucci is pretty friggin' awesome at playing. His solos are so fun, and so are the rest of the song!||
-Eric Johnson's Cliffs Of Dover. I attempted this song, and failed, EPICALLY. That's how hard it is, which shows how amazing Eric Johnson is.||
There is most likely many more, I just can't think of any right now. And if I do, I probably don't know their name.
Favorite bassists :
-Paul Gray was amazing. R.I.P.||
-John Myung in Panic Attack by Dream Theater was beasting it on bass in the intro. I couldn't even fathom how fast he was going. It was pretty awesome.||
I don't know if I have any more, seeing as how I can't really hear the bass in a song unless I have subwoofers.
Also, why is there not a "Favorite drummers" section? I would have quite a few for that one. Hell, I'll just put them here.
-Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater is awesome, I mean, if I can't play his drumming on Rock Band, there's no chance in Hell that I can on my drumset.||
-Neal Peart. Enough said right there.||
-Tony Laureano uses so much foot pedal. I love it. That takes mega calf muscle.||
-Joey Jordison is one of the Gods of drumming. Like how he drummed in the intro on Vendetta, and how he was doing the foot pedals in the intro when the guitars kicked in. THAT was intense.||
Favorite books :
The whole Crank series by Ellen Hopkins is really good. Also, the Cirque du Freak series by Darran Shan. I read all 12 books. They were awesome! But the movie sucked, sorry to say.
Favorite tv :
Favorite movies :
I watch a lot of scary movies, like The Strangers, Freddy vs. Jason, the Halloween series. I also watch a lot of comedy. Not so much action movies, or romance.
B.R. Guitarist is a member of the following bands:
-I play in the band Borderline Resurrection. We're local and not really heard of yet. We play metal, rock, and alternative sounding music. We are working on our first album that we are self-producing.
-Music is pretty much my life.
-I enjoy writing my own songs. Sometimes I'm in school and I randomly hear a riff or song in my head that hasn't been made yet, so I write it down and then go home and work on it. That, sometimes, is how my music is made.
-I taught myself how to play guitar. I hate taking lessons.
-If there is no tab online for a song, I will listen to it and figure it out. I do this often.
-I currently own three guitars and two amps. A semi-hollow 1999 Raven RG450, an Epiphone SG Special II, and a First Act Acoustic. I used to have a Fender Squier Stratocaster, but I sold it to buy my SG.
-I want to follow in my grandpa's footsteps and be a musician. He used to play in the band The Thundermen.
-I'm musically and artistically talented.
-I play a little bit of drums, but drums really is not my thing. I'm staying with the guitar/singing.
-Suprisingly, I've only been to one concert in my whole life so far, and that was Crue Fest 2009. It was awesome.
That's pretty much all about the music part of my life. Want to know more about me that's not music, just ask.
