digger35 wrote on Jan 4th, 2009 11:49amHey,
I emailed the guys at H&K and they told me I wouldn't be able to switch the EL34s out for 6L6s without modding the bias pot or something, but that would void the warranty. So I didn't. But kckyle I think has a switchblade and I think he has 6L6s in his, maybe try asking him about that thing. I'd imagine you'd get a smoother gain sound from the 6L6s though.
Btw nice playing on your clips/videos. That PRS Custom 22 is to die for lol. quote |

My pleasure, I know it's easy to confuse the two especially if you live in a right-wing community, but me living in a socialist country I get to see the benefits of it from a first-hand perspective. That's why it's important to spread the word that socialism and communism/marxism are about as closely related as Black Sabbath and Dragonforce, if you will.
haha yeah
in the U.K. at the moment we have our traditional left - wing party in power so i see some of the effects and benefits of socialism but in my opinion the party arent very good at implementing it effectively.

Would you mind terribly if I quote this? [:
This is a very insightful statement.

dude can you tab out kitty with her finger on the trigger? very awesome song. you can probably make big if your vocalist puts a little delay and fx though the mic |
Hehe I could give it a try, if I get some time off (I work from 7 am to 4 pm everyday, so there's lots off stuff to be done when you get home). We're gonna do proper recordings of all the songs soon, so far it's just me playing and singing everything, so we need to make recordings with the actual band

I don't mean noise, I mean that the actual tone is a bit spikey, kind of like the squished high frequencies a broken speaker might cause, but I know everything's the way it should be and like I said I hear it's a common problem with V30's. It kinda resembles Yngwie's Marshall tone, but I can't dial it out... |
yeah thats common amount high gain amps. but if you think its a broken speaker or something. take it back to the shop and have them look at it.

Yeah I'm a bit worried about that since the cable is hard-wired into the foot controller. That's just dumb, they should have made a regular connection so you could just plug in a new cable if something broke, or you wanted a longer cable or whatever. Btw, although I've only had it a few days, I'm hearing kind of a fizzy sound even when I'm not using that much gain. I've heard that's a common problem with Vintage 30's on hi-gain amps, do you experience any of that? |
yes i do, but not as much mainly because i got a THD hotplate. i'm planning on getting the isp decimantor just lower the buzz even more,

kckyle wrote on Jul 6th, 2008 2:08pmwow thats super awesome. btw you might wanna be careful with the foot switch. they are quite delicate. i know since mine is in shop right now due to midi control. quote |
