all u hafta do is lightly lay ur finger across all the strings over a fret that dosent give really good nautral harmonics...it looks like he's at 6 or so...and just strum. downstrokes work better than ups for me. so yeah, thats pretty much it...play around enough an ull get it
Vanwaar jij? En als je geen nederlands spreekt: blablablablablahdfgqytaorjkdj!! X
using your fretting hand you mute the strings by touching the strings lightly but not pressing them down onto the fretboard, its best if you mute with a few fingers so that you don't get natural harmonics (chime noises)
I thought that you might like some 'real research'!:
...For being brave and asking questions (which tends not get a 'very clear answer' in these forums) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Edge
Add to that I'll dig up the special and very bl**dy expensive unique effects array that he has reputedlly used ...on the last batch of recordings. I came across it about a month a go ...but I can't 'for the life of me' ...remember it?
At the time, U2 was getting ready for their 2005 Vertigo tour, so Schoo needed to find a solution to carrying around the 11 DM4 stomp boxes that they used to create all of the tones from the record. Schoo was wondering if a rackmount version with program memory and MIDI could be built in the same format as the Filter Pro and Mod Pro studio modelers.
Angelo Mazzocco, senior DSP software engineer, senior product manager/stomp boxes Jeorge Tripps and senior software engineer Dave Calvery created the DM4 Pro Rack, which has a custom-designed analog path and full MIDI implementation with assignable controllers for every parameter for real-time, expressive control of the tone and drive knobs.
