Originally from Germany I decided to make a new start in Northern Ireland in 2007 and have never looked back. I am a foreign language correspondent but currently I am working as phone and e-mail customer support representative for a large IT company. I am a crazy cat lady who has decided to grow up to be a grumpy old granny and already a major geek complete with computer and tabletop RPG obsession.
I have always been fascinated with musical instruments but never had quite the guts to take lessons and went for drawing and computer graphics and later photography instead. I think the neighbour's girls practising piano and trumpet for years without any notable progress put me off rather successfully as well.
Recently, having made far too many guitarist friends and grudgingly admitted that I may not be as tone deaf as I had made everyone including myself believe, I have devided to give it another go.
Let's hope the friend who volunteered to teach me won't be quite as sorry as I fear.
