If you are looking for traditional then look no further than Bill Monroe Actually do look further to Flatt and Scruggs and The Stanley Brothers and Charlie Monroe etc. but Bill Monroe=God.
Or if you want more modern progressive stuff I suggest Yonder Mountain String Band.
