I'm Antoine, a frenchy that has lived six years in London.I now spend my time between Monaco (where I used to go to school and my parents still live) and Paris (where I study business).
I started playing guitar around the age of 16, I wasn't the music fan that I was today, but a friend of mine turned me on to AC/DC and that was a huge turning point for me.
Since then I was lucky enough to have an extraordinary guitar teacher who knows absolutely everything and can play anything who turned me onto every genre out there. I was already a blues and rock fan, and a little into jazz thanks to my parents. But now I've discovered Jarrett, Metheny, Monk, Coltrane etc.....
So music wise I like a lot of stuff, metal, classic rock, fusion, blues jazz etc
But I'm also a huge electro fan (Daft Punk, Boys Noize, Cassius, SebastiAn, Justice, MSTRKRFT...) And I listen to a little east coast rap (Nas, WuTang, Black Star).
Oh and classical too, mostly but not limited to romantic (Rachmaninov, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin)
My favourite artist of all time is Steve Vai, which is very original on this site...
Apart from that I'm kinda your stereotypical arrogant intellectual tit. I read a lot (mostly french litterature, but I don't mind a bit of Brett Easton Ellis or Philip Roth once in a while) I'm very interested in politics and movies (and I've got to say that UG's general knowledge on these subject is sad)
A lot of users would recognise me from the Football or Rugby threads. I'm a Chelsea fan (for over ten years I'm not a gloryhunter) and I usually support teams from Paris since that is the city I'm originally from.
I play a blue Schecter C1 Classic with a Swineshead Runaway in the Neck and a Bareknuckle Warpig in the bridge.
I used to spend a lot of times in the GG&A forums, but now I mostly lurk in the pit. Some weeks I'm on everyday for hours, some weeks I never come. Most of you wouldn't recognise me.
