It's final, I will be definitely getting a new amp this summer no matter what it is, how much it cost or how long I will keep it.
I've had great amps in the past and I've loved having them as part of my life, even though they've never lasted more than six months (excluding my precious Vox) But a time has to come where I settle down and build from the one perfect amplifier. And on that point, I will be taking a trip to Germany in a few weeks to Music Store in Cologne, where I will hunt down the best amplifier and the best guitar I can find.
The main amp being a Diezel Einstein 50 watt head, and the main guitar being a Mayones Setius GTM-7.
If I am happy with both of those I will buy the guitar and come home to sell my old seven string. With a little more waiting and saving I will then buy the Einstein and, either a Framus Dragon 2x12, or a Matamp Custom 2x12 with a more interesting speaker setup--Maybe a V30 and a G12 K100.
If I am not happy with the amplifiers I find in Germany, I will buy a Valvepower, a Hayden Mofo or a Matamp King Street Classic (or something similar) and a Line 6 Vetta II.
If I am not happy with any of the guitars I find (doubtful) I will begin modifying my current equipment.
Anyway, I hope it goes well and I look forward to it!
