nightraven wrote on Oct 10th, 2008 6:47pmyep. the russian big muff is made of cheaper parts and so it's cheaper. i've got a russian one because it's a lot more gritty and dark sounding than the american. from my experience, the american big muff is difficult to get a nice tone out of if you don't own a tube amp. you'll also need to crank this amp to maximise it's awesomeness. but both are good pedals. i favour the russian one significantly though.
you should try them both out in a shop somewhere. although, ironically, the only place i've seen russian big muffs for sale has been in america (where i bought mine)  quote |
