The book Mindful Politics: A Buddhist Guide to Making the World a Better Place, which features numerous essays about the world from Buddhist leaders, is also an excellent work as well. The Dharma of Star Wars is a great introduction to several Buddhist doctrines, such as karma, non-self, and awareness (all of which I would be happy to explain if you would like). But there is a lot of Star Wars references, which grows tiresome after a while.
