Hi all. Typing with one hand sucks, so I'll keep this brief.
Last night I suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my left hand in a kitchen accident. The pain is excruciating, and almost all movement in that hand has been lost, which means... no more music. I'll know today at the earliest if I'll ever even regain movement, let alone play again, and even then I have to probably kiss goodbye to most of my 'mad skillz'.
As such, if the worst comes to worst, I shall be selling all of my gear in favour of electronic gizmos so I can continue doing what I love.

P.S fist person to say 'pics' or 'buuuuuuurn' is a twat.
Damn, just damn man. Eve though I never actually saw you since I don't think you played anywhere near me, I'm sad to see this happen to someone. If I can say it though, there are two guitarists who may give you hope in this matter;
~The more evident Tony Iommi, who lost two fingertips on his right hand(Albeit he's left-handed, so it's worse than it sounds, though most people know that) in an industrial accident, and, using false tips, to compensate, lowered tuning to make playing easier.
~The more similar Django Reinhardt, who lost the use of his left hand's ring finger and pinky in a house fire. He played Latin Jazz like this, which I think speaks enough right there.
Once your hands get better, try playing again, use tricks to compensate, see what works out, you never know. =)
