Some time ago, about an week or so, my brother Filip's violin teacher, Erika, asked me if I could come and record at a wedding which would be held in one of the churches in Kecskemét the following weekend.
I was there the day before at the general repetition to find the best possible setup using just two microphones, mixer, laptop with FL Studio and a Behringer FCA202 external sound card.
Unfortunately I don't own any large-diaphragm microphones so I had to use the cheapo made dynamic microphones instead. (Find them on my gear page)
It is 5 Tracks for each occasion, 5 at the practice and 5 at the actual wedding.
There is the Forrest Gump theme, a song named Daydreaming, I have no idea where it comes from. Unfortunately I don't know the title of Track 3 and 4 either. I will look that up and edit. The 5th is Pachelbel's Canon in D ( Classical version, of course )
All songs except the Canon is played by Erika and her colleague from the music school Kodály in Kecskemét.
The Canon is played by my brother Oskar (http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/Ogge/) on the pipe organ, and there is three violins played by Erika, Erika's daughter Bianka and Erika's student Barbie.
I think from what gear and all other factors making recording audio difficult this sounds more than decent It actually sounds good, that is the original wave file with 2200 Kbit/s on studio monitors, the mp3 can be regarded as just a preview of sorts.
Burned a few CDs, for the wedding couple, Erika and a few more interested people. The wedding couple was very pleased with it so I'd call it job well done
If anybody would like to get the high quality file for some songs contact me and we'll find a way to solve that.
I have got the Behringer FCA202 (firewire external sound card) to work on both my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro v2030 and Dell Inspiron 9300.
It have been a lot of problems but now it's working very well. The sound quality is very good, for this price class it's amazing. It definitely works for me.
