New Guitar choices.....

Current mood: content

Here in the next couple of months, im am going to attempt to get a job so i can save up a couple hundred dollars... all for a new guitar!!! I have a few choices:
1.) Epiphone Les Paul Special II
2.) Epiphone G-310
3.) Epiphone Les Paul 100
4.) Epiphone SG Special
5.) Epiphone G-400 Goth
I wonder which one i should get, if i can save up that much... If I buy either of the specials i will change the pickups, if possible. Each of these guitars are suprisingly cheap at

Opelika 'Swampstock' concert

Current mood: anxious

my guitar teacher has decided he wants to have a themed concert for my school. at my school there are three guitar levels: 1,2,and 3. i would be in the guitar 3 class. anyways, he and a few other students decided it would be named Swampstock, after Woodstock in 1969. we will be performing hits form the sixties. im not a fan of much music form the sixties, cept CCR and a few others. the only song i want to do is I Heard It Through The Grapevine(CCR version). it will hopefully not be a disaster. wish us luck in november.

Not Much Of A Realization....

through my limited two years of playing guitar, i have come to learn(realize, rather) that im am always getting better(in some way or another)or not ive actually played the guitar.... example: my school hosts a guitar concert every year, and i was lucky enough to be able to play 3 of my favorite songs(My Name Is Jonas by Weezer, Tequila Sunrise by Eagles, and Down on the Corner by CCR). Me and a friend decided we were gonna play My Name Is Jonas, so i had to play the acoustic intro.... it wasnt that much different from songs i already knew(Simple Man), but for some odd reason i could only do the intro through once, and we were having to severely change the song anyway, it was now just our remix, so to speak. anyways, i was still having trouble with the intro, and then one week i completely spaced, and didnt even touch my guitar.... well the next time i picked my guitar up, i amazingly could play the entire intro at the actual tempo.... long story short, i play better after periods of rest(weird, aint it) granted i still sort of messed up during the concert, but it sounded alot better than if i had only played the intro riff once.......

im so bored!!!.... i feel i have to ask....

Current mood: Curious

ive been wondering, which guitar type is better: acoustic or electric? my brother enjoys the sound of his screwed up first act electric, while i enjoy playing an alvarez acoustic.... granted, you can hear an electric better in a large stadium, you have to have an amp, so the acoustic wins there.... plus you can pretty much do everything on an acoustic(to an extent).. in my eyes, the acoustic wins!!! i wonder what everyone else thinks.....

Best seller still......

Current mood: blank

me and my neighbor have been arguing here recently about the best selling album in the US(possibly the world). well, my neighbor says that Michael Jackson's Thriller is the #1 selling. i know that isnt true... the world will only be sucked into Jackson fever for a few weeks more, and then they will forget... anyways, my research has led me to find that the best selling album is the Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-'75. go eagles!!!! i was extremely bored when i found this, but it has now made me like te eagles even more....
