Lordy lordy, hallelujah, I've been saved!!! I just got back from a week away from home and I finally got the Jackson DXMG I've been wanting for a while. It is completely perfect in every way I can think of. It has no fret buzz, low action, Floyd Rose liscensed whammy and it's painted all black except the neck. And it's 2 EMG pickups give a great tone. The only way the guitar could be any metal-er is if i used a razor as a pick.
I was going to buy an Epi LP off one of my brother's friends, but when I got it from him to try it, it turns out it sucks harder than my own Squier Strat! I mean, really. My tolerance level for suckitude if pretty dang high, but this guitar completely cleared it in street shoes. I didn't expect Gibson quality, but I was expecting some quality. Monster fret buzz, uncontrollable feedback... Ehh... Just horrible.
Well, as the name suggests, I'm a really bad guitarist. I try to play songs like Enter Sandman, but thats the hardest song I can play. Oh, and the first three seconds of the solo from One. I think that I might get away with blaming part of my suckiness on my equipment. My guitar is a Squier Strat, pretty horrible in itself. But, multiplying the suckitude of the guitar is the fact that it got screwed up somehow and the action is way to high. Even my dad's acoustic has a more comfortable action. I play mostly metal, though I got my start playing guitar by listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers and picking up my brother's guitar. For a while, the only thing I could play was the intro to Readymade. If you haven't heard it, go to youtube and listen to it. NOW. That's all I have to say now. *Akwardly signs off not knowing how to end blog*
