I am a guitarist from the Detroit Metro area of Downriver Michigan. I own six guitars, four electric and two acoustic. On top of that, I also found myself in ownership of one violin (albeit broken severely) and mandolin (took a lot of work to restore) and one bass guitar (used for concert band). My musical interests range from stuff that's as far out as Pat Metheny to as heavy and brutal as Dying Fetus. My favorite style of music overall is progressive rock. Stuff like Yes, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Pink Floyd really defines the adventurous spirit that rock and roll fans had and still do today in bands such as Dream Theater and Symphony X. Any music that is challenging to play, whether it's Steve Vai or Necrophagist, is a welcome treat for my ears.
