why do i hate them?
becasue both are useless
they fill up the population just cutting themselfs and spilling blood SOMEONE IS GONNA GET AIDS!
the bands just get 24/7 video and radio station plays
they increase global warming by using lots of electriity heating up the hair straightners
girls its ok, too much as you do(scene kids) is just pointless, and the guys
get a fucking job and stop acting like a girl

ONLY BANDS LIKE MAIDEN AND JUDAS PREIST ALSO MEGADETH,SLAYER
and ALTER BRIDGE make it look like a metal festival
i wanna argue. to me you sound like an idiot who doesnt know a thing about music. maybe you should listen to something other than just one genre and maybe have an open mind about music. And just so you know, very few people cut themselves, and the ones that do are definetely not the ones you described above. You and all your metalhead friends look like a bunch of hobos. Maybe if you got a haircut and wore clothes that dont look like you just got them out of a dumpster, people will take you seriously and wont treat you like a homeless person. okay?
For your information i do know that a small amount of people cut themself but the people i have met which are "Emo" or similar all have cut marks on their wrists
secondly i like wham, james blunt, depche mode, and other non metal artists
i like a few eminem songs
also if you think my musical taste is very narrow i listen to classical music too i.e. bach, vivaldi etc. mostly because i play their stuff on guitar
thridly i like to wear clean cut cloths, none of my cloths are ripped, but i do have long hair
but most people will agree no metal songs are being played on the radio or their music vids on t.v. all you see is madina lake and eyeliner etc.
the only time i seen a metal vid is when machine head realeased asthtics of hate, but that is not played anymore
You do know that 'Scene' bands really just describes any band that fits into a musical genre.

..or NWOBHM - a scene which maiden and judas preist were prominent in..

Agreed. I hate how scene and emo kids tell people to just be there selves when they're the main ones posing and acting like what ever is popular at the time.
Before anyone says anything i listen to any music i like, i don't specify one particular genre.

I think the point you're trying to make is "poser metal sucks and its followers need to find better music". I agree completely. And some people took this at face value, which is a shame because it proves they're idiots and defending the scene bands they probably like.
But I agree with you (except not on the cutting thing, but that's a touchy issue and I would rather not argue about it). Total respect for what you said, and most people won't understand it. But I definitely think you're right.

Closed minded. Especially concerning indie; it's not really a genre, they can all sound totally different. Indie just implies it's on an independent label.

Only you can hold yourself back, and it starts when you go into your mom's closet and borrow your first pair of pants and those stupid fucking scarves you wear. I agree 100%, I can't stand the emo crap. Metal has been around for quite some time and there are always devoted fans like you and me to wait out for the retarded shit to pass. okay first of all i agree that alot of those emo bands do suck. but i know some emo people and they're not that bad. they like lots of different music other than the "scene" bands. and the hair straighteners. it may seem gay but its just like hairspray was for hair metal or plaid shirts for grunge its just the style of the music.
oh and hidgfujzaieity. dont call metalheads hobos. it just aint right. all of todays genres branched off of the works of metal bands i.e. Sabbath Zeppelin etc. if it wasn't for metal we'd all still be listenin to 50s tunes so be grateful.

haha now I have to agree with some things you said, such as cutting the wrists and stupid ass shit many people do, but you also have to remember that you cant classify all of the bands in the same way just because they may look or sound the same, because different bands promote different things. What your doing is like the next best thing to racism, especially when you said they're useless, (if they weren't here we wouldn't have anything to dislike!) Not saying you don't have a right to not like it, and that brings me to your defense in people saying you need to be more open minded, they're stupid. You can like and dislike anything just as much as they can. I can relate to your disliking of these bands being as I like mainly black/viking/thrash/folk metal, flamenco guitar, and country (resist the urge to poke fun).
