"I think some of the best black metal out there is the more obscure and underground stuff.", now that is really true.

The new Cryptopsy left a foul stench after the last song had ended. It's like St. Anger all over again. |
"St. Anger 'round ma neck..."
The new singer sounds like he's being castrated on the spot... Well you know it's gonna go bad when you introduce a synth to a technical death metal known for Canadian brutality.
Metallica just released re-recordings of their older songs, it's just not the same.
They should of died as a band long ago and kept a good name... like say Emperor or Immortal

Yes I love D666. Indeed Unchain the Wolves is amazing. I love all their stuff really.
I met KK and the rest of the band during their US tour in 06 and they were all great guys. Hope to see them on their next tour over here. |
They came near Austin where I live in 06 but unfortunately I was unaware... I wanted to shout "Satanic Speed Metal!".
Have you heard the new Cryptopsy album? It's a different kind of vile, likes to bring disappointment to the table

MorbidVirus wrote on May 30th, 2008 11:25pmSo you like Destroyer666?
I think it's very inspirational when you have one person raising a great band off the ground into something great such as KK warslut did
Unchain the wolves is amazing, the title track is just epic quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 30th, 2008 7:35pmyes they're good.
i hate combining black metal with other styes tooi was looking up some new bands and i came across a band who said they played blackcore (black metal and hardcore, like death core but black) and they had so much hatred from black metal fans lol and there wasn't a trace of black metal in their music anyway.
if theres one thing tht annoys me, its hardcore/deathcore music
destoryer666 are amazing. quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 29th, 2008 6:51pmshame. i really like funeral doom.
especially when bands like gallhammer combine funeral doom and black metal. its makes fr truely grim music i feel.
i'm not so much into regular doom.
i believe in a drug free ethic so i dont drink and i dont do drugs or smoke and doom metal is quite trippy, electic wizard and such. quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 28th, 2008 11:28amits ture.
do you like much funeral doom metal? quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 26th, 2008 10:54ami'm british.
i hate the french by default lol
no really, to be honest, i'm not too impressed by the french scene, graveland and such.
i dont really like modern black metal though there are some great bands around now from the modern scene (wolves in the throne room, gallhammer etc)
really, i prefer the late 80's and especially early 90's northern european scene. quote |

thanks for the reccomendation though
will check them out.
Hat was a pretty good vocalist, though i agree Pest was the most powerful and best vocalist. quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 21st, 2008 9:17ami thought similar at first
but i think the ammount of effect gaahl uses on hs vocals kills the power.
i much prefer the raw type of black metal vocals pest used quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 20th, 2008 6:49pmit is amazing.
but i think under the sign of hell was the best album
followed by anitchrist or destroyer.
amazing music.
i haven't really enjoyed gorgoroths work with gaahl or infernus.
its no where near as good as there old stuff though trelldom and jotunspor are amazing bands quote |
Black-Metal wrote on May 17th, 2008 10:32pmhails, grim firend. i wonder as to your stance on the issue with gorgoroth?
if, like me, you believe the name belongs to infernus (he is the only original member nad it was his idea to use that name, as well as being the author of all of gorg's best music, the albums king and gaahl wrote were terrible) and you have a myspace, please join groups.myspace.com/theallianceofinfernus.
i'm happy to see you have a great taste in black metal. quote |
