About 2Old2Cold

I listen to mostly obscure black metal, not to be "tr00" or "kvlt" but because I think some of the best black metal out there is the more obscure and underground stuff. My two favorite bands of all time are Emperor and Guns N' Roses. Weird combination I know, but since the first time I heard GN'R I have never lost interest in them and Emperor is just brilliant music. I have seen both bands live and neither disappointed whatsoever.

I've been playing guitar for roughly 8 years. I don't consider myself a fantastic player really. I can't do technical shred playing and I can't do all that other fancy stuff but to me writing a great song does not call for stuff like that. For the past 4 years I've also been a drummer. I started playing because I couldn't find a drummer in my area who played black metal, thus I could now do everything myself. I had a one man black metal project called Plaguewielder for about 4 years before I ended it due to lack of time. The music was Black/Thrash. I also began helping out a friend on drums with his one man project called Frost Throne, which has recently changed names to Shadows of Sin. The music was very raw black metal, but has since progressed somewhat and now includes thrash influences as well.

I may be starting up a new one man project soon. I already have some ideas for it and I know the music is going to be black metal mixed with ambient sections, influenced by bands like Xasthur, Leviathan, Mutiilation, Aakon Keetreh, Amaka Hahina, old Mortiis, Darkspace, Mayhem, Burzum etc etc.
