Will I need a transformer to change the voltage of the Carvin V3?
From like 220/210 volts to 110 volts or the other way round, something like that anyways...
I'm not sure about this but an external transformer may add noise =/. And good ones are expensive and bulky..

I'm sure a good tech could replace the transformer in the amp, but that may also be expensive.

Does the V3 have an input voltage switch by any chance?

Cheers.

i find there is a noticeable performance increase but percentage wise it isnt as great as the increase in price.

it just depends on your demand for performance, for me i set out a budget for my whole computer and i had enough to accommodate the GTS. if you will be stretching to afford the GTS you might be better off getting the GT instead

Alright dude :D Thinking of getting a Carvin V3 head + cab or Carvin V3 combo, what do you reckon to them?

I'm gonna play hard rock and metal, but use the cleans too.
Influences: Jimmy Page, Slash, Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Rammstein.
