From Friday (21st November 2008), I will be offline from teh interwebz for at least one week, as we're moving and need to get broadband and a telephone account.
FINALLY, I receive my new pedal! Here's the story...
Sunday (20th): I see pedal in High Street shop, play it and decide I want/need it. I go home and see if it is any cheaper on the internet; it is! I order the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Guitar Effects Pedal.
Monday (21st): I wait for the pedal to be dispatched.
Tuesday (22nd): I wait for the pedal to be dispatched.
Wednesday (23rd): I wait for the pedal to be dispatched.
Thursday (24th): I
find that the pedal is in the delivery driver's van, via the Amtrack
parcel tracking system. He picks it up at the depot around 30 miles
away at 7:21 in the morning. I stay in all day, waiting for it to come.
It doesn't.
Friday (25th): Again, the driver picks it up, this time at 7:17 in the morning. We wait until 2 in the afternoon, then we go on holiday for the weekend. We ask Amtrack to deliver it next door.
Saturday (26th): The pedal is apparently delivered next door.
Sunday (27th): We come back home at around 7 in the evening. Next door aren't in. Turns out that they are on holiday.
Monday (28th): I wait until 5 in the afternoon/evening, until I can wait no longer. I break in. Job done.
