Dude, saw your Money for Nothing comment.

Happen to know how I could get a good guitar tone for that song, Mark Knopflers tone is incredible.

Thanks.

Wow hey there sorry of the SLOW reply but I just found out 'bout this whole profile thing (after being here for 2 years -.-). Anyway, there's this thread about it on UG somewhere, "How to sound like your guitar god" or something, not really sure. On thing I do know: The guy plays without a pick. Then put your gain around medium and try to tweak it till y'get there.

Oh just found the thread: :)

again, continuing from previous 2 messages:
look, we can keep on arguing or we can drop it. If you thought an apology was going to make me go all nicey nicey and all "oh it's okay we all do retarted things like stalking other peoples profiles and falsely accusing them of being fanboys and then expecting them to go all nicey nicey by just saying sorry", you were wrong. (again.)
in fact it's you that's taking it too far, it's you that was wrong but just can't swallow it and instead is trying to make himself right. Look man, I can't have this stupid, month-old, useless argument wasting my time, and I know it's the same with you. I never said i didn't accept your apology, in fact I did, but it was that "geez, just get over it" that got me. You were wrong, so what right do you have in ordering me to get over it?
it's up to you. you were wrong and you admitted it, but if you'd stop carrying it on longer than it should, i will be more than happy to stop.

continuing from the previous message:
So, person A was peacefully minding his own business listening to and loving what he wanted to listen to and love. and then Person B comes along, mistakes him for being a fanboy. Person A, at this point, would have every right to be angry at Person B for 1. not minding his own business, and 2. for the false accusation. However, Person B, realizing he was wrong after person A pointed it out, apologizes, but adds an extra comment at the end, "jeez just get over it", to try and imply that Person A was taking it too far, when Person A did have every right to be angry with Person B for being so obnoxious. It could have been dropped there, but no, person B was determined to try and make himself right . Whatever way this is seen, Person B was wrong and PErson A was right, Person B apologized, and it should be dropped there. But this was not the case, as Person B continues to argue to this day.
whadya think?

I agree that it is not a concern of mine, but I geniunely dislike fanboys just because. I like Metallica alot and consider myself a great fan. A fanboy in my perspective would be a guy heard One on Guitar Hero and says he likes them, but he has only heard that song.

So as I said, a fanboy is one of my pet peeves and that is what concerns me. I feel obligated to ask though; why are you so consistent in arguing with this? Seriously, I apologized to you, what do you want me to do, bend over? Jesus get over it.

i agree with what you said, same goes for Smells Like Teen Spirit on the radio and the fanboys (or usually it's girls for Nirvana 'coz of Cobain), but you'd be pretty pissed too if you were mistaken for a fanboy. "Jesus get over it" pfff who was it that wasn't minding their own goddamn business in the first place?

Dude, chill. I said I was mistaken about you. And I prejudged you, I never ment anything harsh.

my point is, whether you prejudged me or not, why would you even care? that's the only point i'm concerned about. I'm not a gay fanboy, but suppose i was, why would you care?

threads? I never started any Nirvana threads, I just post regularly in the common Nirvana thread in the Modern Rock forums section. And I'm not the only one, I post there regularly along with uber-rocker, hazzmatazz, squall, rockon1824, on a jet, etc.
and I have a nick grundy group, post-grunge group and default fans group that i created myself, and I am part of 4 nirvana groups in which i am a moderator in 2, and I am also a part of many other groups, like the tab police, pearl jam group etc.

So in short, i really don't get what that was all about?..... I am sure I'm not the only one who is a huge fan of them, look at iheartnirvana, he's also a mod in one nirvana group and has one himself.
and also, there's tons of metallica, iron maiden, acdc, slayer, etc. fans who love those bands just as much as i love nirvana.

Continuing from previous post, didn't fit in one.

And no, I am not gonna argue about his "suicide" either, I believe it was a murder but then again everyone has their opinion, so I don't mind.
And what do you mean everything around me has something to do with Nirvana? I respect Nirvana and the members, I respect Kurt Cobain's musical material, and I am a huge fan of the band itself. And yes, my username and avatar have to do with them as well, but then again do you go to every "metallica11" "metallica101" "metallicarules" with this nonsense well? I don't see why you're so intent upon knowing why I like Nirvana.
If you wanna know, it's because I enjoy their music, I respect their attitude towards their music, and I overall appreciate them as a band. I don't see what it is you have against me being a huge fan of them, I am a true fan and I don't see the problem. Please let me know if you are opposed to anything I've said, but I think I have every right to be a fan of Nirvana and to love them.

What do you mean "?"?

Everything around you seems to have something to do with Nirvana. Don't get me wrong, they were a good band, but you seem to go way over the top.

It's just kinda silly, you know.

No I am not one of those posers who listen to Lithium and Smells Like Teen Spirit over and over on their iPods. I also listen to other bands as well, not only grunge bands along the lines of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and softer stuff like Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam, but also post-grunge/alternative music, like Creed, Default, Staind etc.
so my world does not revolve around nirvana, just to let you know.
And I am not one of those who insist Kurt was a great guitarist, in my opinion he was a pretty lazy guitarist who played simple but creative riffs in the beginning, then resorted to 4-chord grunge, then went to more complicated stuff, and then was killed.

Just a thought.

lmfao.
I'm confident, if I was in a certain mood at the time I wrote my about me thing then it'll come off differently than how it would be if I were sleepy or tired or whatever. I'm assuming that's what you're judging me off of. I'm an overall nice girl, easy to talk to, but I'm just confident and stubborn haha.
