Sure there has! Metal Up Your Ass is a live demo recorded 1982 in San Francisco, so it's actually before Kirk joined. Then they wanted to name their first album Metal Up Your Ass aswell, but I think it was like the directors or something that didn't allow them, so it ended up with Kill 'Em All instead.

Just check around the internet and you'll find lots of sites on the Ass album.
