Sooooo I got the June issue of AP the other day [ew, Cobra Starship on the cover, fucking scenies that have horrible music] and what do I seeeee? An ad for the new Alesana record that's out on June 3rd -- 'Where Myth Fades to Legend'.
'On Frail Wings Of Vanity And Wax' was fucking love. Even the short opener, 'Icarus', was great. I especially adored 'Ambrosia', 'Pathetic, Ordinary', 'Apology' and 'Third Temptation of Paris', horribly catchy vocal melodies and amazeee lyrics.

I fucking love Alesana and I was wondering when they were going to put a new CD out.
I also got Jack to like Alesana and I thought it would be very unlikely that he would actually listen to them but he listens to them when he's not in a br00tal mood.

I did actually listen to 'Porcelain Heart' from Opeth the other day, it was tolerable.
...FINE, it was good. It was really good. But I hate the vocals. Can't get over those. Seeing as I grew up listening to screams...and the occasional growl...cleans are hard to get used to.
I do love Nevermore though.
And OneRepublic, SHHH.

Sky Eats Airplane are also coming out w a new record on July 22, according to AP :]
I fucking love them, 'Everything Perfect on the Wrong Day' was amazeeee, I've wanted to hear more off them for years, actually did listen to some demos on their PV page, I think, loved them.
Can't waiiiiit.
And equally high on my list is A Skylit Drive with 'Wires...And The Concept Of Breathing', out on June 10th.
Though wtf is up w the punctuation???
Gah, bands can't keep things simple anymore can they.
Anyway. Enjoyed 'She Watched The Sky' immensely, got a bit old after a while though, I'm hoping I'll fall inlove w their new one :]
Thoughhh, they do have a new vocalist, Michael Jagmin. Should be interesting...
And ofcourse, Jaguar Love are releasing their first effort, 'Take Me to the Sea' in August-ish. It's another side project of Johnny Whitney's [god, he's got like 43963478634896 of them], so I'm ttly excited, I fucking love him, amazing lyricist and keyboardist, ttly amaze and contagious.
And if you dun know who he is, then you fail.
He's from the Blood Brothers, fag. And they broke upppppp -cries-

And yessss, you win for liking Nevermore, SYL, Meshuggah, AE and BTBAM. Especially the first three and the last one. AE are rad, but everyone likes them so it's not that hard to get others into them. But like, Meshuggah people seem to hate for being repeatitive, Nevermore, people hate the vocals (FUCKING STUPID PEOPLE) and BTBAM are to random for some. Even though BTBAM = <3 and people should be on their hands and knees in the presence of the almighty Devin Townsend so.

...If you didnt like Porcelain Heart go for Heir Apparent. Or maybe Serenity Painted Death. I dunno. With Opeth you cant really listen to just one song.
